KuduDoc is a South African document-custody platform for work and life. It signs, seals, keeps, watches, answers questions about and shares the documents you hold, and lets anyone check a sealed file for free, without an account.

Why we built KuduDoc

A signature is
one moment.

A signature is one moment in a document's life; most of it happens afterwards — the renewal, the question about a clause, the copy a lender asks for, the day a family has to find the policy. KuduDoc keeps that whole life in one place.

  • Sign and seal what needs agreement.
  • Keep each record with its dates and the papers that explain it. Reminders come 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before each date, by default — or the days you choose.
  • Ask it a question and read the source.
  • Send each recipient a copy prepared for them.
  • Arrange who can reach your records when you cannot. On Family, emergency access lets you choose the people, decide how many of them must ask, set how long a request waits, and cancel any request or block someone. The Vault is never included.
  • And let anyone check a sealed file for free, without an account — unchanged since sealing, or not — instead of taking our word for it.

Proof you can check

A signed PDF
is just a file.

Anyone can quietly change it. Sign a lease, email the PDF, file it away. Two years later there is a dispute, and someone produces a copy where one number reads differently. Both files open. Both look identical. Neither says which one is the original.

So we built the checking part first, and gave it away.

02 / Honesty

Honesty
beats badges.

Every number on this site is either independently checkable — a fingerprint, a timestamp, a published rate card — or it is not published.

That rule costs us some marketing copy. We think it buys something better.

We also say which documents still need ink. KuduDoc checks each document before it is sent and won’t send one it recognises as a will, a sale or other alienation of land, a lease of land over 20 years, or a bill of exchange or cheque — sign those in ink; you can still seal the scan.

Personal is free, with no card and no expiry date. Family is R99, Professional R199 and Business R299 a month per occupied seat, each with a 14-day trial and no card needed. Enterprise is by arrangement.
