Stop printing a PDF just to get it signed.

How it goes now

  • A PDF printed just to collect a signature.
  • A scan sent back with one page missing.
  • Another email asking who is still waiting.
  • The final copy buried in someone’s inbox.

How it goes in KuduDoc

  • Signature, initials, date and text fields placed on the page.
  • Each signer opens a link from their email.
  • You set the order; whoever is late gets the reminder.
  • The signed file comes back sealed, with its activity record.

Each person opens the link with a free KuduDoc account, reads the document and signs. A signer can forward it to a witness when the document calls for one, or decline and give a reason — the reason stays in the record.

Copies made before everyone has signed carry an interim notice.

Signing order

The employer signs first, then the employee. The next person is invited only when the one before them has signed. A fixed order is on Professional and Business; on other plans everyone signs at the same time.

Templates and bulk send

Set a document up once. Reuse it.

A template keeps the fields, the roles, the signing order and the reminders, so the next offer letter starts ready to send.

Save your own, or start from a KuduDoc template: South African agreements reviewed by an admitted attorney, on Professional and Business.

On Business, bulk send turns a CSV into one signing request per person.

Questions people ask
about electronic signature software in South Africa

An ordinary electronic signature under the ECT Act. A few kinds of document need ink, a notary, a commissioner of oaths or an accredited provider — see which.
Not in the certificate-based sense. KuduDoc’s own signatures are ordinary electronic signatures under the ECT Act; the Act’s advanced electronic signature comes only from an accredited provider. The finished PDF does carry KuduDoc’s certification signature, with a certificate Adobe trusts. It seals the file; it is not a signer’s signature.
Yes, on Professional and Business: set the order before you send, and each person is invited when it’s their turn. On other plans everyone can sign at the same time.
Open the invitation email on your phone and tap the link, then sign in or create a free KuduDoc account. The document opens in your browser, so there’s no app to install. Read it, sign where you’re asked, and you’re done. To send a PDF of your own, upload it, place the fields and invite the signers.
Whether a copy is unchanged since sealing — byte for byte the file that was sealed. It doesn’t tell you whether what the document says is true. Anyone can check a sealed file for free.
Yes. With a free Personal account you can sign a PDF yourself, free, and the PDF stays on your device. Signing from an invitation needs only a free account too. To send a PDF to others, Personal includes 5 sends a month and up to 3 signers per document, with no card and no expiry date.
Personal is free, with no card and no expiry date. Family is R99 a month (R948 a year), Professional R199 (R1,990) and Business R299 (R2,868), per occupied seat, with a 14-day trial. Documents you have already sent are not affected by a plan change. Enterprise is contact-only. Compare plans.
